taalengo is more than just a recruitment agency. We are bridge builders, enablers and companions - for nurses from Kenya and employers in Germany. Our vision: a healthcare system that thrives on cultural diversity, professional excellence and mutual respect.
How it all began –
Janet's path and the creation of taalengo
What began as a personal journey became a mission: Janet, founder of taalengo, came to Germany from Kenya in 2010 – as an au pair, without any language skills, but with a clear vision.
She discovered her passion for care during a voluntary social year. Despite all the hurdles – language, culture, bureaucracy – she fought her way through: completed her training, worked in cardiology, neurology and anesthesia, completed her degree in healthcare management part-time and acquired extensive knowledge in outpatient care and inpatient quality management.
Today, she uses her experience to make it easier for nurses from Kenya to do just that – and at the same time counteract the shortage of skilled workers in Germany. taalengo is the result of experience, empathy and a deep desire to make a meaningful difference.

Our vision is healthcare without borders. We want to open up new paths for nursing staff - fair, structured and sustainable. And we want to connect clinics and facilities in Germany with professionals who are not only well-trained, but who also put their hearts into their work.
